Mit dem Titel The Milk of Dreams (Die Milch der Träume) lockt mich die 59. Biennale gemeinsam mit einer Gruppe befreundeter Künstlerinnen nach Venedig. Der Titel ist von dem Buch Leche del sueño von Leonora Carrington (1917-2011) inspiriert. Hier handelt es sich um eine magische Welt, in der sich jeder verändern, verwandeln, etwas oder jemand anderes werden kann.
Ein bisschen geht es mir ja mit meinen verschiedenen Brillenfassungen auch so. Und da ich wie versprochen, meine Brillenkunstwerke aus der Steiermark mit im Gepäck habe. Schlüpfe ich für den ersten Erkundungstag, mit dem Modell Andy Wolf 4781 in die erste Figur meiner eigenen spannenden Reise. An der Metallbrille mag ich ganz besonders ihre spezielle Gläserform. Sie ist verglichen zu anderen Andy Wolf Fassungen sehr zart gearbeitet, doch durch ihre Größe, dem lässigen Doppelsteg und der Farbkombination aus Gold und Schwarz trotzdem nicht zu übersehen. Eine tolle Brille um einfach mal einen Tag jemand anderes zu sein oder eben genau Du selbst.
With the title The Milk of Dreams, the 59th Biennale attracts me to Venice together with a group of artist friends. The title is inspired by the book Leche del sueño by Leonora Carrington (1917-2011). This is a magical world where anyone can change, transform, become something or someone else. I feel a little bit the same way with my various eyeglass frames. And since, as promised, I have my glasses artwork from Styria with me in the luggage. I slip for the first day of exploration, with the Andy Wolf model 4781 in the first figure of my own exciting journey. At the metal glasses I particularly like their special lens shape. It is very delicately crafted compared to other Andy Wolf frames, but still not to be overlooked by its size, the casual double bridge and the color combination of gold and black. A great pair of glasses to just be someone else for a day or just exactly yourself.
